The World Stone Skimming Championships 2024 will take place on Saturday 7 September 2024 on Easdale Island, near Oban in Argyll, Scotland.

We have to restrict the maximum number of entrants to 350 but we still have space for spectators. There is no charge to spectate.

This is simply due to the time taken to let everyone compete, hold the awards ceremony and then ensure people can leave the island during ferry operating hours.

The Homecoming String Band are an energetic celebration of the huge contribution Scotland has made to American Folk Music. They blend Appalachian and Bluegrass material with Scottish jigs and reels, and a sprinkling of their favourite songs from both the UK and USA folk/roots scene.
